I have been meaning to update the site with some new fixes and features that have been running in my local copy for the past month and finally have taken the time to do so. So without my usual off topic long winded self absorbed introduction here is whats new.

- News page. The news page is the end result of neat framework feature that lets you setup (via the admin interface) as many RSS or ATOM feeds as you like, which are then merged into one time ordered list. The feeds are checked and updated by a PHP cli script that runs via cron. It's pretty simple and does not scale well but it can handle inserting single news lists or merged news lists of 20+ feeds into any page. Currently the News page is setup to check 10 or so technology news sites that I never have the time to actually visit.

- Calender. The calendar is the basis for what eventually will be a nice full featured calender application. Currently it is just the display portion of the code. It does however use a nice logical and clean url structure and will display year, month, week, or day views for any calendar time period. The entire thing is built around mktime() and strtotime() and date().

- Knights Tour part 2. I have had little time to tinker with this bit but I did add a few new modes of operation to mix the logic up a bit. Also it now appears on the main menu and the page itself has a hastily written introduction to the puzzle as well as explanations of how each "mode" works.

- Forum fixes. I decided to use the forum software as a place to start up some discussions about reviving the Hastymail project, and even only a few replies later we have found a few issues. One was that anonymous posters could not enter a name to go with their post, and another was some misleading colors that make text that should just be highlighted look like a link. Both are fixed now, however adding a name to a post only works on replies for now, not on new threads (I think).
